What We Do
We provide services
that assist families to support their son or daughter at home and within their
community. These services promote and protect opportunities for people with
an intellectual disability to become full participating members of their community.
Who We Are
C.L.D.C. is a member of Community Living
Ontario (C.L.O.) which has over 100 local Associations throughout Ontario.
Many members have a son, daughter, brother or sister who has been identified
as having intellectual disabilities. People who themselves have been labelled
are members. Church, business and other community leaders also belong.
C.L.D.C. supports the inclusion
of people with an intellectual disability to the same extent that all people
are included.

Our Beliefs
All persons should
live in a state of dignity, share in all elements of living in the community,
and have the opportunity to participate effectively. Communities, families and
government share in the responsibility of supporting and including people with
an intellectual disability.
